Aside from the reproductive health service, the JAFPP executed programs for women empowerment. It reached out to institutions to adopt and prioritize women empowerment programs in their agendas. Following up on the findings and recommendations of Cairo Convention, Beijing Convention and European Union vision, JAFPP conducted many training workshops for women leaders on the concepts of reproductive health, family planning, gender and other related topics with the aim to prepare knowledgeable and skillful women leadership capable of impacting the society.
JAFPP succeeded at recruiting “Association Friends” who assisted it in reaching women in rural and remote areas in order to elevate their statuses and empower them. These Friends assumed an active role in marketing the JAFPP’s clinical services by collecting necessary information on the target community who opened up their houses, allowed them into their gatherings, and participated in the JAFPP’s activities.
